Holton showed what he could do as the featured back for the Chargers as he rushed for 1,820 yards and 23 touchdowns on the year. His speed and athleticism helped him average more than a first down per carry (11.59 yards).
"He has the most unique blend of athletic ability, speed and physicality I've ever coached in terms of a running back," said Davis. Holton was also second team defensive pick at defensive back.
Scott Alwood, OL, Union City
Alwood ? a All-Big Eight First Team offensive lineman ?was a huge key to the success of the Charger offense that opened holes for an 1,800 yard back. Alwood was the anchor, making calls on the offense that averaged 286.6 yards per game. "Scott was our best offensive lineman," said Union City coach Chris Davis. "He is extremely intelligent."

Levi Drumm, LB, Quincy
The senior inside linebacker earned Big Eight All-Conference First Team defense honors as one of the top two tacklers for the Orioles for the 2012 campaign.
